We’re growing and are on the lookout for a fantastic SEO manager to join our team and help us offer our clients a more complete digital service, to enhance our award winning website design and development work. 

This is the ideal role for an ambitious individual with between 2 - 4 years experience at a reputable SEO agency, but who dreams of working with cooler, more exciting brands with content that’s all killer, no filler! We are open to in-house SEOs too, but you must have managed multiple brands for a shot at this.

Our ideal person will have both practical SEO campaign delivery experience and the ability to work strategically, to advise and guide our clients in how best to wield their internal resources to maximum effect. They will have a good eye for design, be brand aware and with a sharp commercial mind (perhaps a business or marketing degree would help too).

Ok now we’ve got your attention, let’s set the scene:

We will be the antidote to the traditional smoke and mirrors SEO agency of yesteryear, who kept their clients in the dark and buried them under a pile of reports. Instead we want to work closely with clients, to build optimised sites and develop killer content that ranks and converts, using joined up strategies that win awards for creativity, and innovation. 

An intimate knowledge of technical SEO is essential in this role, but we’re less interested in short term results and trying to game Google. We want to practice and teach best practice, ethical SEO that’s on brand and works for our clients long term. As we manage all our clients’ websites ourselves, you won’t have to play telephone tennis with external dev agencies, you’ll have your own team of developers to do it just how you want it. 

Much of the work will be project and consultancy based, rather than grinding out on dull old retainers, so no need to bury clients in reports they’ll never read to justify a fee. We want you to convert data into insights, so clients get exactly what they need, when they need it, and to tell it straight when they are barking up the wrong tree. 

We choose not to specialise in one industry, as we believe variety is the spice of life which keeps us on point and always learning and evolving. We love working with iconic homeware manufacturers like Anglepoise, cool fashion brands like Tens, tasty food companies like Pip & Nut, innovative e-bike builders like BMC and new concept restaurants in London like Arcade, to name just a few. 

Sound good? Ok here are the skills you’ll need to have:

  • Keyword research

  • Advising on site structure and navigation

  • On page technical and content optimisation

  • Competitor audits using a variety of tools

  • Content strategy and writing design and copy briefs.

  • Performance management and reporting

  • Develop strategies for increasing backlinks

  • Microdata creation and validation

  • Adwords account builds and ad copy

  • Google shopping would be rad, but not essential. 

  • Training and educating clients about day to day management

Salary will be competitive for the area and will depend on your level of experience, so we're offering between £30k - £40k PA.
